Oblivion and Fear spent their childhood hanging out in the caves of a cliff above a river as they played poker in a jittery teenage fashion as if the caves were a firehouse and they were waiting for a fire. Oblivion often beat Fear, having discovered a tell in Fear's face of a micro-burst of peace which usually meant an ace. Losing, Fear would have to leave the caves and travel down to the mortals rafting the river below. And Oblivion would be left alone to entertain himself by making shadow puppets on the walls of elephants and men.
